I set up an account with Google reader because I already use many of googles apps. I really like the idea of having the new posts sent to me rather than checking each site.

The technology at the library sure has changed since I started working here. When I started we didn't have computers yet. We stamped due date cards and typed paper cards and overdue notices.

Computers have replaced the card catalogs, and we now do everything on our computers. We now are able to find magazine articles, download books and movies, and make donations to the OPL foundation on our computers.

I just recently bought a new cell phone and have started texting my family. I do my banking and a lot of my shopping on the internet. My kids helped me set up a my space earlier this year.

Technology is changing so fast!

Thing 6

Well I took a look at some of the mashups and made a trading card. The Flickr Color Picker was very cool. I made a CD cover, a puzzle, and a desktop wallpaper from my pictures in the FD toys.

I did it. I actually uploaded a picture to my blog. I just love Japanese Gardens.

Getting started with Flickr was easy, I already had a Yahoo account.

Gotta go play with Flickr some more.
